ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday said that a meeting of Muslim Countries envoys to Pakistan has been called on Friday to discuss the issue of blasphemous content posted on social media.
Talking to media, the minister said that invitation has been sent to the ambassadors in this regard. He added that blasphemy was an issue being faced by the whole Muslim community and a joint strong message will also be enough for service providers.
Hinting at banning the social media websites, the minister said: “The social media websites are not important for me than my religion and faith”.
He added that such elements will be dealt with iron hands in order to give them a lesson.
He highlighted that questioning holocaust is banned in West, but anti-Islam speeches is termed as freedom of speech.
