ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday lamented that the United States administration has started speaking the language of India, which is not only guilty of grave human rights violations in held-Kashmir but is also trying to portray the just freedom struggle as terrorism.
Nisar was reacting to the designation by US State Department of Hizbul Mujahideen leader Syed Salahuddin as a ‘specially designated global terrorist’ and imposed sanctions of him. This came as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met US President Donald Trump in Washington.
The interior minister vowed that there would never be any compromise on rights of Kashmiris, and Pakistan would continue to support their just cause till realization of right of self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
Nisar stated that the right of self-determination and freedom from Indian subjugation is destiny of Kashmiris and no power on earth can deprive them of their legitimate right. “India’s oppressive posture should have been a source of concern for a principled and conscientious nation,” he said.
Nisar said statement of the US administration gives an impression as if international laws on human rights are not applicable in the case of Kashmiris and serious crimes including blood bath of innocent people can be ignored.
