ISLAMABAD – Federal government has announced four public holidays from 5th July (Tuesday) to July 8th (Friday) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Ministry of Interior has issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, with two weekly off days, the government employees will enjoy six holidays.
According to the Muslim Hijri calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr is the religious festival of Muslims and celebrated on the first of Shawwal, marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramazan.
Director General of Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that Eid in the country is likely to fall on July 6.
During the last few days of Ramazan, it is accustomed to putting up for Eid-ul-Fitr.
Families go shopping for fresh clothes as everyone is required to wear something new or see very smart during this holy time.
